Probability & Statistics for Engineers: Homework Projects

The purpose of the homework component is for students to apply the methods learned in this class to a real-life engineering problem. This will serve as an important 'hands on' experience in applying statistical methods in situations encountered by practicing engineers.

Students will be given a dataset by the instructor, or may use any dataset of their choice, however data that can be used to address an engineering/ technical problem will be required. ALL datasets shall be reviewed and approved by the instructor.

Students will work in groups of four (4). For each homework submittal, each group member will be assigned a list of tasks. Each group will present their study to the class towards the end of the semester.
